OE 12618638755 — Oil Level Sensor for Bmw

Incoming batches pass a dimensional check, a material look-up against the electrical & sensors specification, and a visual inspection for finish defects. Critical dimensions are measured per carton and the photographs are archived against the order number.

Bulk pricing is tiered: 10 pieces, 50 pieces and full-carton quantities each carry a different unit rate. Piece price also moves with packing format and whether your own brand is printed on the carton, so tell us the landed quantity you are planning.

Position depends on the platform. On most Bmw applications the oil level sensor sits on the electrical & sensors assembly and can be reached from the engine bay or the underbody without removing the dashboard. Torque figures and disassembly order are given in the workshop manual for each model.

For a short distance at reduced load, usually yes — but the risk compounds. A degraded oil level sensor transfers stress to neighbouring components, so a small repair can grow into a full electrical & sensors rebuild. Book the replacement once the symptom is repeatable.

Three checks: the code printed on your old part must read 12618638755; the number must fall inside the build-year range in the Applications table; and the connector, thread or bolt pattern must match the reference photo. Codes cast into the housing are the most reliable source.

A supersession happens when the maker revises a oil level sensor and issues a new tail number. The revision normally changes a small physical detail rather than the fit. Where we know a supersession chain for 12618638755 we list the current reference; ask our desk for written confirmation before a large order.
